The Fabulous Commitment outlines the critical and non-negotiable rules, expectations and boundaries of The Fabulous Gathering.

The following are brief statements of rationale followed by the commitments we ask that you make before attending.

Arrival & Community Building

The weekend is about community and connection, and not just the all-night dance party. It takes time to create a vulnerable, connected space as a community in order to drop in to the experience as it is intended. If possible, please plan to arrive the first night of the gathering.

Part of the intended experience is for those interested in exploring sexual expression and connection to have the safety and freedom to do so. Safety is co-created, and requires time, trust, and buy in from the community as a whole. At any gathering with a sexual space, there will be MANDATORY group session hosted the day before, where we discuss the emotional and social supports that are necessary for creating a safe and grounding sexual space together. This includes consent as a basic foundation. Topics will include how to negotiate boundaries with a partner, how to express desires to each other without expectations, and how to hold and appreciate desires even when they are not in alignment with our own. No one may participate in the Pleasure Dome without attending the Pre-Pleasure Session, but all are expected to attend regardless of desire to have any sexual experiences. This will ensure we are prepared to create an environment of safety for all.

Part of creating community is done with our hands, and many hands make light work! Offering some of your time towards helping make The Gathering run smoothly is an expectation, though often doesn’t feel like “work”, as much as being part of building something big together. Details about help-out jobs will come later, and there are many, many ways to contribute.

Finally, the land is 2 miles up a difficult unmaintained road. Guests will need to be shuttled in via 4x4 by a host or close friend familiar with the area. Having everyone arrive by a designated time means that no one will have to be pulled away from the gathering to help late arrivals get in and get settled.

Commitments:

Safety & Preparedness

The land is completely inaccessible to emergency services or regular vehicles. Medical attention is not immediately accessible like it may be in our day to day lives. Cell service and GPS are limited and very unreliable. For these reasons, it is especially important that you are prepared to keep yourself and your friends safe from harm. Please consider any risks you take carefully, act responsibly and ensure your friends do the same.

This means coming prepared. We will provide all of the information you need to be prepared for The Gathering here on the Land Web -your responsibility is to familiarize yourself with these resources, stay up to date with any updates, coordinate with your friends, and of course, reach out to any of us if you need assistance.
